Members of the Waverley Amateur Radio Society were awarded National Emergency Medals and Long Service Awards on 10th December 2022 for their commitment and service to WICEN and during the recent bushfire emergencies.

The NSW Premier’s Bushfire Emergency Citation
The Premier of New South Wales has awarded a Bushfire Emergency Citation to recognise the outstanding contribution of volunteers and service agency personnel who played a significant role in the emergency response effort to combat the 2019-2020 bushfires in NSW.
The insignia of the Citation is a rectangular silver framed navy-blue bar featuring a red stripe to signify the bushfire event, and the NSW State Flower (Waratah).

Megan van de Weyer 15 years service
Raffael Shammay OAM 15 years service
Rosalind Shammay 10 years service
